Marching into March with arctic-like temps makes it hard to “think spring” but we’re going to get you ready for a warm-weather getaway with this month’s style trends.
In the post-COVID world, everyone had their eyes on Europe – clamoring to buy that transatlantic ticket to attend a wedding in an exotic locale. Since we returned to our regularly scheduled programming, the event compass has shifted, and 2025 will be the year of the “at home” wedding weekend.
This month, we’re here to discuss those in-between fashion collections – pre-spring and resort wear – which we would argue are as important, if not more, in setting the sartorial tone for the season ahead. Consider them appetizers before the main course.

There’s no denying that by October, the evenings are cooler and it’s getting dark much earlier – autumn is here and winter is on its way. There will be a day soon when you suddenly realize that the wardrobe turnover from Indian Summer September is due – so, this month’s column will help you get ready for it. We want to make sure that when it comes to assessing what you already have, you’ll be able to breathe new life into a few old favorites and be clear about any gaps in your cool weather wardrobe. Let’s look at some ways to style the autumn 2024 fashion trends.
Fall fashion has arrived, and with a new season comes new trends. Each year, we (at SHIFT) study the runways, attend the buying shows (which happen six months before a season) and everyday street style to select the current looks that we (and you) can get behind. From color stories to fresh styling, see what’s in store for fall 2024.
It pains me a bit to write an article about back-to-school but, here we are in August – ‘tis the season! Whether you’re looking for cute, comfy or preppy styles, we’ve got you covered. This month, we’ll explore the best back-to-school and work outfits for 2024, including style tips for putting these outfits together.
When we talk about July ‘24 trends, we’re talking flowy dresses, vacation swimwear, beach cover-ups, linen sets, knitted slides – and that doesn’t even begin to scratch the surface. The season’s staples like simple tanks, white jeans and beach totes are not to be omitted, either. But most importantly, dresses and easy-breezy skirts you can wear to weddings, upscale lunches and parties are the keys to your fun, summer wardrobe!
This month’s column was inspired by happenings in April including two major events: First: the surge and rise of women’s basketball during March Madness (along with the elevation of women in sports and our place in this world) and second: the total solar eclipse! Over the past months, the SHIFT in energy has been palpable and inspiring, and has projected us into May where positive vibes can continue to thrive as we wrap spring and head toward summer.
Spring is in full bloom, and what better way to celebrate all that the season has to offer than by attending or hosting a beautiful garden party? This month, we are covering everything – from etiquette to what to wear – for all of the fabulous spring soirées adorning your social schedule.
