Perhaps the boldest designer statement is the wider-legged, longline pants that bunch and pool at the ankle. You won’t need hemming services from June to August, so give your tailor the season off. Wide-legged pants including denim are definitely trending and colored denim is hot for summer, because brights like green and pink speak that summer style language. Not to mention, watermelon earrings pick up both colors and showcase summer’s favorite fruit!
Beyond the wide-legged silhouette, another summer denim trend is to commit to a full look – or, “denim on denim, on denim, on denim,” according to Beyonce on the Cowboy Carter track “Levi’s.” Several spring designers relied on the foolproof co-ord effect for the runway by teaming denim trousers with jackets in matching washes.
