BROWSING:  Publisher’s Letter

Dear Readers,

With this issue, we’re proud to celebrate another anniversary – welcome to Volume 13! As I have from the beginning, I feel truly blessed to have the opportunity to connect with the people of our amazing communities through My City. Every issue is a labor of love for our team, and it’s an honor for us to keep telling your stories.

Dear Readers,

As I write this, Dallas, TX is dealing with a sub-zero wind chill … What? Meanwhile, here in Michigan, we’re looking forward to a welcome “warm-up” to 30 degrees – for some, that means T-shirt weather! Will all the snow melt by spring? Who knows. Last year, it was pushing 70 degrees on March 4 and by the first day of spring, we were back to freezing. Classic Michigan.

We survived January!

As I sit down to write this letter, Christmas is just a sleigh ride away, but let me be the first (or maybe the 27th?) to wish you a very Happy New Year!

I don’t know about you, but I’m ready to celebrate this holiday season in grand style! While I’m grateful for every journey around the sun, I eagerly anticipate bidding a festive farewell to 2024 and diving headlong into the new adventures 2025 will undoubtedly bring.

It seems like just yesterday the leaves began to change and – BOOM! The holidays are right around the corner! I hope you had the chance to enjoy all the fantastic fall events here in Greater Flint.

Fall is here, and if you’re like me, you’ve already traded your iced coffee for something pumpkin-flavored and embraced the crisp air (and football, of course – GO BLUE!). As cooler temperatures roll in, this issue offers stories to warm your heart and keep you entertained.

Where did summer go?

It’s certainly been a sultry summer in Greater Flint!
