Whaley Children’s Center held a ribbon cutting ceremony for their newly named school, the LaFontaine Learning Academy today, October 18th at 9am.

“We are honored to name our school after such a dedicated family,” said Mindy Prusa, President and CEO of Whaley Children’s Center. “Their community support is amazing and I can’t wait to give our children a school name that they can be proud of.”

The on-site school was previously called the Whaley School; but as of May 14, 2016, the LaFontaine Family purchased the school’s naming rights during the auction at the Tux and Tennies Gala. This purchase, along with others, made the 2016 Tux and Tennies Gala a record-breaking event for Whaley Children’s Center.
