Rhonda Touchette-McKee grew up watching her mom make cakes, and started Tasty Layers Custom Cakes out of her home. “I’ve been around cake-baking and decorating all my life!” she exclaimed. The cakes at Tasty Layers are baked fresh daily using the finest ingredients. Wedding cakes are Rhonda’s specialty, and she offers over 20 different cake flavors and 35 pastry fillings to choose from. She can work with any couple’s economic situation and has three cake designs within a “budget” line that can fit any bride’s needs. “We also offer couture cake designs,” Rhonda says, adding that buttercream frosting on a custom wedding cake will satisfy any bride’s taste, although she adds with a knowing smile, “Most brides are traditional at heart and prefer a three-tiered, round cake.” Tasty Layers has two talented pastry chefs on staff, and Rhonda promises, “Every bride can be assured of a personal meeting to custom create her cake.”
