Back to the Bricks celebrated its 22nd annual event August 11-15, bringing thousands of classic cars and enthusiasts to Genesee County, with the Main Event held August 15 in downtown Flint. The annual celebration attracts more than 500,000 car-show enthusiasts to Genesee County throughout its events, according to Back to the Bricks. President Amber Taylor says the event is about far more than cars. It celebrates Flint’s rich automotive heritage, brings families and communities together, and creates an opportunity for enthusiasts to share their passion. The free, family friendly celebration features classic cars, cruises, music, food and activities throughout the region.

Main Event Week gave everyone many memorable moments, from Bricks Flicks at the US 23 Drive-In and two nights of cruising along Saginaw Street to an incredible Friday night Cruise N Concert in downtown Flint and, finally, the Main Event on Saturday. The community showed up in a big way.

Taylor extended a heartfelt thank you to everyone who helped make the event possible: “To every volunteer, sponsor, committee member, board member, public safety officer, municipality, business owner, vendor, participant and spectator, thank you. You made the 2026 Main Event possible! You helped welcome thousands of people into our community. You helped create memories. And you helped continue a tradition that has now been bringing people together for 22 incredible years.”
