It was another great year for Back to the Bricks, the city’s biggest and most extravagant car show. In talking with My City Magazine, B2B Chairman Al Hatch credited fair weather for this year’s success. “The weather was perfect over the entire weekend,” he said. “There wasn’t any rain, and the temperatures were great.”

Hatch said that the B2B crew was “pleased with the unveiling of the Billy Durant and Louis Chevrolet statues,” the most recent additions to the Downtown Flint Flat Lot memorial. From here, the B2B team of coordinators is already looking forward to next year. Hatch joked, “We can’t rest on our laurels. The challenge is to keep it fresh. Nothing official yet, but our promo tour in June is pretty much all set. A lot of work is already going on.”

All in all, Hatch thinks “the city and Genesee County did themselves proud.”
