It’s time to make yourself heard in Genesee County!

Tomorrow, November 5 important elections are taking place in select cities in Genesee County. In Flint, the mayoral election will take place pitting incumbent Mayor Karen Weaver against State Representative Sheldon Neeley. Also, in Flint, voters will decide on two proposals concerning the Flint Public Library. The library is proposing a 12-year, $12.6 million bond and the renewal of a $2 million operating millage. The operating millage is equal to nearly half of the money used to operate the library while the bond will be put towards the new vision and renovation of the library.

In Fenton, incumbent Mayor Sue Osborn faces off against challenger Cheryl King in the Mayoral election. Fenton voters will also vote to fill four council seats.

Two new Mayoral candidates are vying for the seat in Burton – Danny Wells and Duane Haskins. Four City Council seats are also on the ballot.

Public Safety Proposals are on the ballot for Gaines Township, Grand Blanc Township and Davison.
