Thomas the Tank Engine is rounding the corner into Flint for two fun-filled weekends. A Day Out With Thomas: The Celebration Tour 2015 will be stationed at Crossroads Village and Huckleberry Railroad, 6140 Bray Road, on August 21-23 and August 28-30 (Friday-Sunday). The family fun six-day event lasts from 9am to 5pm all six days. Tickets are $22 for ages 2 and up. Children younger than 2 are admitted free of charge.

The Thomas Celebration Tour is celebrating one thing in particular: friendship. Families of all sizes are encouraged to come aboard and enjoy an entertaining and educational time. The event offers the unique chance to take a ride with the classic train engine, as well as a variety of Thomas & Friends themed activities. Some of the activities include storytelling, video viewing, and an Imagination Station with arts and crafts and more. In addition to the entertaining activities, guests will have the chance to meet Sir Topham Hatt, the head of the Railway on the Island of Sodor. Train enthusiasts and aspiring engineers alike are sure to jump at these exceptional opportunities!

Based on the classic stories of The Railway Series, Thomas and his friends have been welcomed in homes and hearts for more than 65 years. The first stories were written by Reverend W. Awdry for his son as a way to share his passion for trains. The stories of Thomas and his friends have continued to grow and inspire people all over. The valuable life lessons of friendship, exploration and cooperation have been used to teach children of all ages for many decades.

Due to the popularity of the event, it is recommended that tickets be purchased ahead of time, online or by calling 866.468.7630. The tour has sold out in past years and purchasing tickets ahead of time will ensure your ride aboard the train. It is recommended that guests arrive at least one hour before their scheduled departure. Each train ride can be expected to last 40 minutes. On each day, there are many different times to choose from (10am, 11am, 12pm, 1pm, 2pm and 3pm), so be sure not to miss out!
