Genesys Health System is teaming up with the Grand Blanc Fire Department to offer monthly car seat inspection stations. Starting Wednesday, October 11 from 4-7PM, parents can stop by the Grand Blanc Fire Department, located at 117 High St., for a car seat safety check.

Certified child passenger safety technicians will check seats for proper use and installation, as well as teach parents how to properly install them. A limited number of new car seats will be available, if needed.
Studies have shown that most car safety seats are not properly installed in vehicles. “We offer these checks to educate parents about proper installation with the goal of reducing injuries in children,” says Dawn Brooks, Genesys Registered Nurse & Certified Child Passenger Safety Technician. “We want to ensure all children are riding safely.”
