The American Heart Association and the American Stroke Association awarded Genesys with the “Get with the Guidelines” Stroke Gold Plus achievement award and the Target: Stroke Honor Roll award for its excellent process improvement efforts in treating stroke patients. Hospitals receiving the Gold Plus achievement award have reached an aggressive goal of treating stroke patients with 85 percent or higher compliance to core standard levels of care for 24 consecutive months.
Genesys also received the Target: Stroke Honor Roll award for developing quality measures to reduce door to tPA time – at or below 60 minutes in at least 75 percent of stroke patients. The Genesys multi-disciplinary stroke team has worked aggressively over the past several years on front end stroke processes to reduce door to tPA turnaround times, ultimately saving lives. Genesys previously received the bronze award, and then the Silver Plus award. The Gold Plus award is the highest recognition possible.
