Wet Paint Day
The Flint Institute of Arts and the Ruth Mott Foundation are partnering to host Plein Air artists of all media as they draw inspiration from the 34 acres of Applewood Estate’s beautiful gardens, grounds and historic buildings. The public is welcome to tour the grounds and view these artists at work. There will also be strolling tours of the house, performances and kid’s painting activities. The completed paintings will be framed onsite and then installed at the Flint Institute of Arts’ Art School. Admission is free. 10am-5pm.

Flint River Flotilla
The Flint River Flotilla returns for its fourth year as the best river party in Flint! This year, the party is floating to paradise with an island theme, so come in your finest island attire and decorate your ride to match. Bring your inner tube, paddle board, kayak, canoe, or anything that floats and join the party on this relaxing and fun journey down the Flint River from Tenacity Brewing to Mott Park Recreation Area. Stay for the after party at Mott Park Landing, featuring food trucks, music and photo ops. 12-4pm.

Good Times in Goodrich Community Festival
Come out for this yearly event featuring a car show with over 200 cars on display, a corn hole tournament, kid’s zone, crafts, vendors, Fenton Adopt-a -pet, a quilt show, pie eating contest, beer tent, live entertainment all day and more. 10am-11pm.

Keep on, Keep’n on, The African American Festival
Hosted by United Afrikan Movement, come out to Ballenger Park on Saturday from 11-8pm to celebrate with the community at this annual festival. This family-fun festival will feature bounce houses, face painting, fun children’s activities, and live entertainment. Admission is free.
