The 2025 Ally Challenge presented by McLaren returned to Warwick Hills Golf & Country Club in Grand Blanc from August 18–24, drawing 78 top PGA TOUR Champions players, including major winners and Hall of Famers like Ernie Els, Vijay Singh, and Bernhard Langer.

Defending champion Stewart Cink emerged victorious after a dramatic sudden-death playoff against Ernie Els, with both finishing regulation at 15-under-par (201). Cink birdied two of his final three holes to shoot a 68, then clinched the win with a par on the first playoff hole. Els closed with a bogey-free 69. Tied for third at 12-under were Steven Alker (65), Cameron Percy (70), and Søren Kjeldsen (70).

The tournament featured a $2.2 million purse, with Cink earning $330,000. All three rounds aired live on the Golf Channel.

Since its inception, the Ally Challenge has raised nearly $8.4 million for local charities. This year’s event also celebrated community, military service, and entertainment.

Highlights included Folds of Honor Friday, honoring veterans with free admission, special ceremonies, and a powerful address by former hostage Sgt. Rocky Sickmann. A Black Hawk helicopter flyover added dramatic flair.

Off the course, fans enjoyed the Concert @17 with funk legends WAR, and the Ally Community Concert featuring Sam Hunt and Dustin Lynch, capped by a drone light show. The Celebrity Sports Showdown paired local celebs and high school athletes in fun challenges to support school booster programs.
