Patriot Ambulance Service of Flint is sponsoring a free food giveaway on Wednesday, July 15 from 9 A.M. to Noon in the parking lot of Skateland in Mt. Morris.  According to Patriot’s CEO, Jeff Yorke, the company purchased a truckload of food that will help fill the cupboards of nearly 300 local families in need.

“Times are tough, and people need help,” said Yorke. “This is a way for Patriot Ambulance to have a direct, positive impact on our community.”

More than 20 employees of the local ambulance provider have volunteered to unload the truck and distribute the food, which was purchased through the Companies Feeding Families program.  “The people of Patriot Ambulance serve this community every day,” said Yorke.  “The food giveaway is a powerful way for us to show our ongoing commitment to helping others.”

Patriot Ambulance Service provides emergency and non-emergency care to Genesee and Lapeer counties.  The company has more than 80 employees based at its headquarters in Flint Township and operates a fleet of  over 17 vehicles.
