This concert is so popular, it sells out every year, so be sure to snag your tickets early! “Holiday Pops” is a bit like “The Nutcracker” in that it’s a staple on holiday calendars – an event where you can enjoy an entire orchestra, chorus, children’s choir, special guest musicians and brilliant vocalists, all in one spectacular show.
The program will feature the Flint Symphony Chorus, a vital part of the “Holiday Pops” tradition for many, many years, and the Flint Youth Chorus will return to delight with their angelic voices. This year’s special guest vocalist – gospel-singing powerhouse, Ally Jackson from Davison – will add her own flair to the evening. With musical roots in gospel, rock, country and theater, her unique style is sure to enhance the magic!

Joining Jackson will be inspiring classical and pop vocalist Billy Petty. He has been a soloist and instrumentalist for pop-modern projects, crossover music, classical works, vocal jazz groups and has appeared as a soloist with various symphonies, chorales and ensembles. He recently released his first solo instrumental album titled “Without Words” and his musical gifts will be an uplifting addition to this program.

Leading the special performance is Conductor Abdiel Vázquez, a world-renowned artist known for his symphonic, operatic and solo piano work. Originally from Mexico, Vázquez brings an international flair and passion that will make the music soar.
