Presented by Communities First, Inc. and Friends of the Alley, this free, all-day festival celebrated summertime with a variety of exciting local musical talent and food in one of the city’s most vibrant urban spaces.

Known as one of the most “Artist Friendly” venues in Michigan, this juried fine art and fine craft fair was attended by 3,500 enthusiasts during a cool, spring weekend.

This year, supporters of the arts enjoyed the vibrancy of Latin American culture at “¡Viva la Fiesta!” The annual FIA fundraiser kicked off the Greater Flint warm weather event schedule with another exciting and fun-filled soiree.

Nearly 300 supporters attended this extraordinary gala held annually to support the kids at Whaley Children’s Center.

Celebrating and appreciating Mexican culture, hundreds gathered to enjoy a day filled with festive music and delicious, authentic food at this event hosted by Latinx Technology & Community Center.

Back to the Bricks® once again delighted crowds of auto enthusiasts at one of the area’s largest spring car shows – now the official start to Greater Flint’s exciting car show season!

This special champagne brunch and auction is held to educate and raise funds necessary to help care for the animals sheltering at the Humane Society of Genesee County.

Arts supporters and wine enthusiasts enjoyed an elegant evening of sipping and gambling co-hosted by the FIA, the Junior League of Flint and Xcelerated IT Strategies.

Over 900 individuals gathered for the 29th event dedicated to recognizing those who have shown outstanding commitment to the well-being of Genesee County children. A collaboration between Voices for Children Advocacy Center (VFC) and United Way of Genesee County, the event invites the entire community to unite in support of children and to benefit the work of VFC. Since its inception in 1995, the Awards have been a beacon, recognizing individuals and organizations committed to uplifting the lives of children.

With an “80s Retro Rewind” theme, this four-day event attracted groups from the community who united to bowl for kids’ sake. Every year, half a million people across America support this signature fundraiser by having fun and raising money to support Big Brothers Big Sisters.

Coming from 12 different Flint area schools and the Lansing, Saginaw, Midland and Traverse City areas, 320 students participated in the Junior (Grades 6-8) and Senior (9-12) Categories. With a panel of 80+ judges, three rounds of judging took place including online material submission, in-person interviews at UM-Flint with finalists and non-finalists at their displays, and the Challenger Round (seniors only) that required an intense, long-format interview of the Top 10 projects with a team of judges designed to prepare the students for the international fair.

Celebrating the community’s Irish roots, the Ancient Order of Hibernians hosted its annual event, presided over by this year’s Flint St. Patrick’s Day Grand Marshal Tim Murphy of Flushing.
