This special champagne brunch and auction is held to educate and raise funds necessary to help care for the animals sheltering at the Humane Society of Genesee County.

This year’s proceeds will benefit the John Snell Emergency Medical Fund, created to honor local veterinarian Dr. John Snell (now retired) who provided services to the HSGC, often free of charge, for more than 50 years. Dr. Snell was also an HSGC Board member and its president for many years. During the spirited live auction bidding, Auctioneer Ashley Peters encouraged the super-generous attendees to help raise over $120,000 for this important and life-saving medical fund!

Returning as host was animal lover and CARS 108 radio morning show co-host, Lisa Marie. Genesee County Sheriff Chris Swanson also stopped by to generate support for the Protect MI Pet Ballot Initiative that seeks to create a registry of convicted animal abusers and change laws to spare animals from lengthy incarcerations while their abusers await trial. HGSC also reported most of the animals that were brought to the event were adopted! Well done, Greater Flint!
