The Vintage in the Village shopping experience took place at Crossroads Village on a chilly May 14. The inaugural event attracted lovers of handmade collector’s items, industrial design, and all things shabby-chic. Treasure hunters from near and far also enjoyed delicious food, skilled trade demonstrations and the quaint charm of the village.

On April 15, Gloria’s Ltd. Fine Stationery & Gifts closed its doors. At the close of the final business day, owner Gloria VanDuyne was feted with a champagne reception. The swanky, surprise event was attended by her husband, Erick, long-time staff members and many close friends. Gloria’s began as a small stationery business 43 years ago, and after inhabiting a few other locations, ended up in the Genesee Valley Center. Known for its unique and exclusive mix of jewelry, home accents, fashion and accessories, the boutique was loved by a loyal clientele, both local and from all over mid-Michigan.
