On Saturday, February 29, Adopt-A-Pet Fenton hosts the annual Wags & Whiskers in the Woods fundraiser at Camp Copneconic. The event begins at 5pm. Tickets are $95 to attend and are available for purchase at Adopt-A-Pet or online at WagsAndWhiskersAAP.com. This year’s theme is “Hollywood Impawsonators” and guests are encouraged to come dressed as their favorite Hollywood star or character for a chance to win prizes.
The event will begin with a silent auction and cocktail hour, followed by a dinner and live auction. The closing after-glow party will begin at 9pm. Gift baskets and goods up for auction include a two-night grand hotel vacation, Southwest Airline tickets, a fishing expedition, fine jewelry, artwork, signed sports memorabilia, a behind-the-scenes NASCAR experience with Erik Jones and much more.
Adopt-A-Pet Fenton is committed to helping people and animals in need by providing a means to place unwanted healthy pets in good family environments and to make the public aware of such animal issues as care, welfare and the hazards of overpopulation. The organization operates a donation-funded Trap, Neuter and Return program, a Spay/Neuter Assistance program and multiple K-9 enrichment programs.
