How and when did you first meet?
We met in 2008 through mutual friends. We were at a breast cancer awareness event and Shawn bought me a shirt I liked. It was very sweet.
Tell us about the proposal.
We both love the outdoors and go for walks in the woods often. On one of our adventures in the woods, I didn’t hear Shawn walking behind me anymore. I turned around and there he was on one knee in the snow. It was beautiful.
Tell us about the wedding.
We had an amazing wedding at the Fountains in Clarkston. All of our friends and family celebrated late into the night. The best part of our wedding was how well everyone mingled and enjoyed each other’s company.
What do you cherish most about each other?
Shawn and I are opposites. We complement each other in our areas of weakness. I am opinionated and loud. Shawn is quiet and reserved.
