Meet Bruno
A Loyal 5-Year-Old Pit Mix Searching for His Forever Home
Bruno may be 5 years old, but his heart is as young and loving as ever. This handsome pit mix is patiently waiting for someone to give him the second chance he truly deserves. He is already neutered, up to date on all of his vaccinations, and ready to become a devoted companion. Bruno’s adoption fee is $125, and every bit of it helps support animals just like him who are waiting for a new beginning.
Bruno is the kind of dog who will greet you with a wagging tail and a gentle personality. He enjoys spending time with people, soaking up attention, and simply being near the ones he loves. Whether it’s going for a walk, relaxing at home, or just being your loyal best friend, Bruno is ready to make someone’s life a little brighter.
Right now, Bruno is also bravely going through treatment for heartworm disease. Heartworm is a serious but treatable condition caused by worms that live in a dog’s heart, lungs, and blood vessels. It is spread through mosquito bites, which means even well-cared-for dogs can become infected. Without treatment, heartworm can damage the heart and lungs over time. The good news is that, with proper veterinary care and medication, many dogs recover and go on to live happy, healthy lives.
Bruno is currently receiving the care he needs and would benefit greatly from a loving home while he continues his journey to recovery.
Bruno’s story is exactly why awareness matters, especially with National Rescue Dog Day coming up on May 20. This special day reminds us of the thousands of incredible dogs in shelters who are simply waiting for someone to see how special they truly are. Rescue dogs like Bruno are loving, grateful, and ready to give their whole hearts to the right person.
If you’ve been thinking about adding a dog to your family, consider giving Bruno the forever home he deserves. He has so much love left to give, and with the right person by his side, his best days are still ahead of him.
Every shelter animal has a story … Let’s change their ending.
