The cold gives no indication of retreating anytime soon, so Kettering University decided to get on board and bring winter fun to the Flint locale by constructing a skating rink at Atwood stadium. The community at large is invited to open skate, free of charge, at the stadium from 6-9pm Wednesdays and Fridays, and Saturdays 2-6pm. This opportunity to have some good, old-fashioned fun may prompt our readers to wonder where they can get their hands on a pair of ice-skates. My City Magazine learned that Play it Again Sports on Miller Rd. in Flint has a huge selection of new and used skates (an entire roomful!) to rent or buy. Why not bundle up and give gliding a try?
