Sept. 14-17: The St. John Parish Applefest

A community favorite for over 50 years. Friends, neighbors and families gather each fall for old-fashioned fun! Join in the annual Apple Pie Baking Contest. There are carnival rides. Bingo, Texas Hold’em tournaments, raffles and live music in the Entertainment Tent.

Friday, Sept. 15: Flint Hispanic Festival

At the 3rd annual Flint Hispanic Festival, visitors will enjoy ethnic food, vendors, artists, dancing and live entertainment by Los Hermanos Escamilla and El Ballet Folklorico Estudiantil & Mariachi. The festival will take place at the Flint Farmers’ Market outdoor plaza and begins at 6pm.

Sept. 14-17: The Flint Community Players presents “Urinetown The Musical”

Sept. 16-17: Spicer Orchards Wine & Harvest Festival

Sunday. Sept. 17: Sunday Paddle Kayaking in the Parks – Float through Chevy Commons

Enjoy this two-hour, truly unique Flint River float from Downtown Flint through the Chevy Commons to Mott Park. A river guide from the FRWC and a naturalist from For-Mar will join the trip and assist in identifying all the wildlife along the way. Sunday, Sept 17: Golden Memories Vintage Automobile Gathering

At this family-friendly event, you will see all of the amazing cars that will be displayed on the grounds of Sloan Museum. Admission is free on the grounds and regular general admission for the exhibits inside Sloan Museum and Buick Gallery. This is a very special event exclusively for original or authentically restored vehicles produced in 1967 or earlier.
