Celebrating the National Day of Prayer on May 5, around 300 Christian men and women from 25 Greater Flint area churches gathered at Downtown’s Riverfront Banquet Center for breakfast, music and Christ centered prayer.
Attendees of the non-denominational event included elected officials and featured prayer led by Genesee County Undersheriff Chris Swanson, Mott Community College President Dr. Beverly Walker-Griffea, and Genesee County Medical Director, Dr. Gary Johnson.
Themed “Wake Up America,” this was the 13th event coordinated by Genesee Valley Men of Christ.
