The Market’s Event Spaces
The Atrium: Located in the heart of the Market, this cozy, rustic space is ideal for smaller gatherings. With 24 wood tables and seating for up to 96 guests, it provides an inviting atmosphere with alley-style lighting and the Market’s signature neon signs. Perfect for those who want to embrace the true Market experience, the Atrium also includes access to a full kitchen.

The Rooftop Terrace: For a party with a view, the Market’s rooftop terrace offers panoramic sights of downtown Flint. With seating for 100, the 4,600-square-foot outdoor patio is a popular choice for summer events. It even comes with a conference room to set up food and drinks, along with a 90-inch Smart TV for audio/visual needs. “The Rooftop is a favorite for many,” Baumgart said. “It has a touch of elegance and the city views are fantastic.”
The Ramsdell Room: Named after former Market Director Richard Ramsdell, this banquet-style room is perfect for gatherings ranging from 40 to 200 guests. It’s a blank canvas waiting for your creative touch! With banquet furniture, two large screens, a projector, podium, microphone and a full kitchen rental, the Ramsdell Room is designed to bring any event vision to life.
One of the perks of hosting at the Flint Farmers’ Market is the variety of catering options available. You can choose to work with one of the Market’s in-house vendors or bring in your preferred caterer. For beverages, the full-service rooftop bar, Market Tap, is on hand to provide bartending services, offering a wide selection of craft and domestic beer, as well as a variety of liquors. “Outside alcohol isn’t permitted,” Baumgart mentioned, “but Market Tap has a great selection and is happy to serve our guests.”
To ensure everything runs smoothly, the Market provides on-site staff, including a security guard and a Market Hostess to assist you throughout your rental timeframe. As Baumgart put it, “Our staff is here to make sure your experience is stellar from start to finish. We treat every event as if it were our own.”
