It’s a Tailgate Party!

The Flint Cultural Center Corporation is hosting a fundraiser that will help fund the Campus Wide Wi-Fi Project, allowing for all of the center’s green space to be on the same Wi-Fi network. The Tailgate fundraiser is set for Friday, September 16, from 5:30pm-8:30pm at the Flint Cultural Center Corporation headquarters, 601 E. Second Street. Tickets can be purchased for $50, which will be used to help fund the project.

“One of the goals of the Flint Cultural Center Corporation is to identify ways to activate the entire Cultural Center Campus for the community and region,” says Crystal Dillard, Flint Cultural Center Corporation Coordinator. “Having a universal, free Wi-Fi system would allow for more opportunities for events and general usage of the space.  The Wi-Fi would also help to attract local college students and young professionals who like an outdoor space to work.”

There will be a DJ, yard games, and food. There are sponsorship opportunities for the event starting at just $200.

“I hope this event will help bridge the gap and provide the funds needed to complete this project so we can have more people on campus playing Pokémon Go!” Crystal exclaims. “The Wi-Fi will reach out to all our grassy areas and allow for patrons to be on one universal system.”
