Hockey is Back! The Flint Firebirds home opener takes place this upcoming Saturday as our Flint Firebirds take on the Niagara IceDogs at Dort Federal Event Center at 7pm. The Firebirds are looking forward to a great season as they look to surpass their goal of home ice for the playoffs. Head down to Dort Federal Event Center and support the team throughout the season.
Opening weekend is going to be full of fun and games for all attending. The weekend kicks off with the inaugural cornhole tournament beginning at 2pm on Saturday. Sign-up to compete in one of two divisions – competitive or social. Afterwards, head to the game on opening night and receive a complementary rally towel from Dort Federal and a magnet calendar compliments of Little Caesar’s.
Fans that purchase tickets for opening night will receive half-off the price of Sunday admission by showing their ticket stub at the box office. The Sunday game will begin at 2pm and will see the Flint Firebirds square off against the Sarnia Sting. Sunday is also Family “FUN”Day and features two free children’s tickets (12 and under) with every purchase of a single adult ticket. There will be bounce houses for the kids as well as a post-game skate with the Firebirds. And that’s not all! The Hockey & Hot Rods Car and Bike Show will take place from 11:30-2pm in the Dort Federal Event Center parking lot.
