Dr. Jeffrey S. Rohr, a retired local physician renowned for his expertise in LASIK laser vision correction and cataract surgery, served the Grand Blanc community and its surroundings for over 20 years before retiring from his ophthalmology practice in 2022. “I loved my patients and staff,” said Rohr. “I was incredibly proud of my medical practice and surgical results. Life After Retirement
Dr. Rohr and his wife, Karen, have been married for more than 20 years. Their children, Jack and Cali, are both students at the University of Michigan – Ann Arbor. Since retiring, Dr. Rohr has enjoyed spending more quality time with his family. Additionally, retirement has allowed him to explore other areas of medicine, such as the effects of inflammation on acute and chronic diseases, as well as anti-aging and regenerative medicine. When asked what drove him back into the medical field, Rohr humorously replied, “I ran out of home improvement projects.” On a more serious note, he added, “I was deeply troubled by those unfortunate individuals enduring the effects of COVID-19 vaccine injuries, the debilitating impact of long-COVID, chronic inflammation and other medical conditions.
