Atrial fibrillation affects more than seven million Americans, and that number is projected to increase dramatically over the next 25 years. It was a Monday morning and I was standing in the middle of the newsroom – a million things to do and a booked-up day – when I got one of “those” phone calls. It was hard for me to process what I was hearing.
