Since their emergence onto the Detroit music scene, the Mega 80’s have taken Southeast Michigan by storm. Now veterans of the 80’s cultural milieu, they’re still rocking as hard as ever. The Class of ’98 is bringing back all things 90’s — the sights, the sounds and the fashions, all wrapped up in an amazing live performance that will even blow away the kids from Bayside High! The Class of ‘98 keeps you moving with all the old jams you know and love. The band dives deep into your favorite tunes from ‘NSYNC, Snoop Dogg, Nirvana, The Spice Girls and tons of others… the musical fun never stops.

Enjoy an evening of fun and exciting Flint & Genesee celebrity lip syncing. All proceeds go towards assisting students with their academic goals at Mott Community College. The Charles Stewart Mott Applewood Estate, officially opened its doors for the season with a celebration from Thursday May 2 through Sunday May 5. This four-day celebration features tours of the Estate house, starting at 11:30am each day; walking garden tours, starting at noon each day; a taste of Applewood, Storytime at Applewood, starting at 11:30am on Friday, followed by fun, hands-on activities and a Friday Bring Your Lunch & Learn starting at noon. Admission is Free!

The first leg of horse racing’s Triple Crown, is one of the world’s most iconic sporting events, according to NBC Sports. Millions of racing fans will tune in on Saturday, May 4 to watch what is considered “The Most Exciting Two Minutes in Sports.” Others refer to the Kentucky Derby as “The Run for the Roses.”

Today is the 49th Annual Earth Day, a global event to celebrate Mother Nature and put a spotlight on environmental issues. The theme for 2019 Earth Day is “Protect our Species.” It aims to draw attention to the rapid extinction of species across the world, which is directly linked to human activity which causes climate change, deforestation and pollution. About a billion people worldwide mark Earth Day each year by signing petitions, planting trees or cleaning up their neighborhoods.
