BTS Inspo

It’s never too early (or too late) to start thinking through back-to-school fashion. And, even if you’re no longer a student, it’s fun to take style cues from those headed back to the classroom. After all, BTS looks are fun, youthful and on-trend!

The following trends to try are inspired by street style looks from around the globe. Fall 2023 BTS style combines relaxed pieces with refined touches like blazers, long jackets and tall boots. Here are some of the best looks for heading back to the classroom in 2023.

Channel your best 90s and Y2K self and choose perfect plaids, blazers, and maybe even a choice hat or two. Update the look with the right shades and more fitted cuts—and don’t forget your crossbody or tote-style bag to complete the look. Cross-body bags can accommodate an ipad or a small laptop, which is key for today’s high school and college students. Even our modern workforce, which is working “on the go” more than ever, should choose a cross-body bag that allows you to commute with your essentials and work from anywhere.

Even if cold weather seems a way off, now is the time to find the perfect jacket and maybe even score a great deal. This fall, play with fabrics and textures – denim, leather and suede are all fair game. And, while you’re preparing for the cold weather ahead, snag a hat – beanies, cowboy and fedora styles are IN (bonus points for woven beanies!) A statement jacket will last you all season and beyond. Whether it’s leather or faux fur, think glam luxury – even if you’re just planning to pull it on over your sweatsuit for the morning drop-off line, it will give you a cool vibe in the driver’s seat.

Pants are still a loose silhouette for BTS 2023. Choose some wide-leg denim and be bold with smooth or textured track pants and a cool pair of sneakers. Also consider pairing a blazer with just about anything for a more refined look. Wide-leg trousers or jeans paired with a great pair of heels is on point. Also on trend are short or maxi skirts or long dresses paired with tall boots. A colorful pop of graphic or animal print earns sophisticated, bold-style points!

Lastly, August and September weather calls for layers – My City-Flint can be warm through September and cool mornings can become balmy to downright hot by afternoon! SHIFT is stocking up on chunky sweaters, cardigans and great tops that can be layered under that trendy statement jacket I mentioned! Think of Game Day. For both high school and college sports, your tailgate gathering can run through a full day, afternoon or evening of games and you’ll definitely need layers to take you into the cool nights.

SHIFT in for all your BTS and Game Day looks!
