Helping Paws, Hearts and HometownsAdopt-A-Pet Fundraisers Support Animals in Need

For more than 40 years, Adopt-A-Pet of Fenton has provided shelter, medical care and a second chance for thousands of homeless dogs and cats. This fall, the organization is inviting the community to come together for a few special events that support its mission while offering plenty of fun along the way.

Spaghetti Dinner Fundraiser

Enjoy a delicious night out while helping animals in need at the Adopt-A-Pet Spaghetti Dinner fundraiser on Wednesday, Sept. 16, from 5 to 8 PM at Brick Street Bar & Grill, located at 1223 E. Grand Blanc Rd. in Grand Blanc.

Guests will enjoy an all-you-can-eat spaghetti dinner complete with salad and breadsticks. The evening also includes opportunities to win prizes through raffles and participate in silent auction fun.

Tickets are $25 per person, with all proceeds benefiting the dogs and cats cared for by Adopt-A-Pet.

The Howling Haunted Trail Returns

Are you brave enough to experience one of Michigan’s top haunted attractions? The annual Howling Haunted Trail returns to the Adopt-A-Pet property at 13575 N. Fenton Rd. in Fenton, offering guests a night filled with spine-chilling scares, unexpected surprises and Halloween excitement.

Unlike any other local haunt, every scream supports a great cause. Proceeds help provide food, shelter, medical care and loving support for rescued animals waiting for their forever homes.

The Howling Haunted Trail will take place over three weekends: Oct. 9 and 10, Oct. 16 and 17, and Oct. 23 and 24. The trail is open from 7 to 11 PM each night.

Tickets purchased online are $25 on Fridays and $30 on Saturdays. Tickets purchased at the gate are $5 more. VIP ticket options are also available and include admission, the haunted trail experience and additional perks.

The fundraiser is open to the public, features music 7 to 10 PM, a 50/50 Raffle, a Lotto Board Raffle, an Auction Basket Raffle and Dinner for $10 per person from 5 to 7 PM.

Help Keep the Power On for the Animals

Every day, Adopt-A-Pet works to protect the health and safety of the animals in its care. A recent power outage highlighted the need for a reliable backup generator after the organization faced the risk of losing nearly $4,000 worth of refrigerated vaccines, tests, medications and other critical medical supplies.

A permanent backup generator will cost approximately $30,000. Thanks to the generosity of a community supporter, Adopt-A-Pet has received a challenge match: a donor will contribute up to $15,000 if the community raises the remaining $15,000. This generator will provide peace of mind during future power outages and help ensure that the animals and lifesaving medical supplies remain protected.

Community members can help meet this challenge by donating through Adopt-A-Pet’s website or by bringing or mailing a check directly to Adopt-A-Pet, Inc. Every donation, large or small, brings Adopt-A-Pet closer to reaching its goal and continuing its mission of saving lives, one animal at a time.
