How and when did you first meet?
We were working in the same building but didn’t really know each other. We started playing an online trivia game on our phones against each other and became friends. That eventually turned into going to lunch together all the time, and after a few months, I finally agreed to go on a date with him.

Tell us about the proposal
It wasn’t very romantic, but it was very us. We had been together for almost a year, and one day while we were driving down the road, Jeremy mentioned that we should buy a house together. I laughed and said I would never buy a house with someone if we weren’t married. He said, “Okay, let’s get married,” and I said, “Okay.” Before I knew it, we had picked out a ring and started wedding planning and house hunting.
Tell us about the wedding
The thought of walking down an aisle terrified me. I wanted all the fun of a wedding, but not the stress of everyone watching our ceremony. We ended up having a small wedding in the backyard of our new house with just our closest friends and family members. The next day, we had a traditional reception with bridesmaids and everything—and we had a blast.

What do you cherish most about each other?
My favorite thing about us is how easy it is to be together. We’ve always had a strong mutual love and respect for one another, which has helped us work together and overcome life’s obstacles.

Have you viewed pictures from the Hubble Telescope, like the Tapestry of Blazing Starbirth or the Ring Nebula, that light up the darkness with bursts of magnificent color? Have you pondered the quantity of stars—too numerous to count? Have you paused to wonder what it’s all for? What are we to learn or understand from it? Is there purpose in it all? Is there something, or someone, out there?
