The Genesee County Habitat for Humanity is hosting Giving Tuesday at the Genesee County Habitat ReStore, 101 Burton Street in Flint.

Giving Tuesday is an annual global day of giving, fueled by the power of social media, according to Ashley Everhart, Development Director. “This year, Genesee County Habitat for Humanity welcomes you to celebrate with us,” she says. “Join us at our offices and ReStore anytime from 5pm to 7pm on November 29 as we celebrate this day of giving, and learn more about our work in the community. A brief prayer service will begin at 5:15pm for those interested in joining. All are welcome.”

For those who come to the Open House, you can meet their staff, board members, and Homeowner Partners to learn more about their work in the community. Light refreshments will be provided. Click here to register for the Open House!

Giving Tuesday is an important time of year for every non-profit. This year, Genesee County Habitat for Humanity will be raising funds on the 29th via CrowdRise with the Giving Tower Holiday Challenge. The Giving Tower Holiday Challenge is a virtual tower in which every donation is represented by a brick. Donors can download a free app, watch the tower grow in real-time, and explore the virtual reality landscape. You can add bricks to the tower on behalf of Genesee County Habitat for Humanity by submitting a donation, by clicking here.

Habitat for Humanity is a non-profit organization that partners with future and current homeowners to build or renovate homes for low-income families.
