Fri. Feb. 2 First Fridays at Longway – Dark Matter

Join Paulette Epstein, Planetarium Manager and Staff Astronomer at the Michigan Science Center, and find out why scientists think dark matter exists, what it could be made of and the different detection methods available to scientists right now from 6-6:45pm. Then, enjoy the 7pm showing of Space School.

Fri. Feb. 2 Flint Firebirds Hockey Game

The Flint Firebirds will play against the Sarnia Sting. The Firebirds are part of the Ontario Hockey League (OHL) and represent a continuation of Flint’s rich hockey tradition. 7-9pm.

Join a naturalist for a hike under the magical glow of the full moon and experience what For-Mar animals see at night from 6-7:30pm. Recommended for families of all ages.

Sat. Feb. 3 Wine, Women & Chocolate

Cross Country Ski, Snow Shoe or walk a 5K track through IMA Brookwood Golf Course while enjoying treats and snacks set-up in a variety of Hospitality Tents from 1-6pm. After the workout, get pampered with chair massages, hair fluffs, manicures and more. There will also be wine samples from local venues and lots of food and chocolate. This is a women’s only event and participants must be 21 years of age.

Sat. Feb. 3 University of Michigan-Flint Women’s Hockey Game

Come out for a night of exciting hockey when the University of Michigan-Flint Women’s Hockey team plays against MSU. 5-7pm

Sun. Feb. 4   Free Day at the Flint Children’s Museum

Sunday is a free day at the museum from 12-5pm. Sponsored by Kohl’s Cares for Kids and Hurley Children’s Hospital, this day will include free play with over 40 hands-on exhibits, fit boxing demos, and Healthy Graham Cracker Smiles (peanut and nut-free)! Admission is free from everyone.
