ELIGIBILITY: This contest is open to residents of the United States who are 18 years or older. Employees of My City Magazine and affiliates, and members of their immediate families are not eligible.
HOW TO ENTER: All eligible entrants can enter for a chance to win by submitting a photo, biography and contact information on the submission page with their $15 donation.
Entries will be accepted between 12.00 am ET August 1st, 2023 and 11:59 pm ET September 13th, 2023. Entries will not be acknowledged or returned. All entries become the property of My City Magazine.
PRIZES: Full-page photo in a My City Magazine issue. All applicants will receive a digital faux My City Magazine cover with your submitted photo and pet name.
One (1) winner will be selected by a panel of independent judges. The judges will base their determination on the creativity of the description and photogenic photo. The winner will be notified by email or telephone. If a winner is unreachable after three (3) days, or if that winner is unavailable for prize fulfillment, an alternate winner will be selected. If My City Magazine cannot find an eligible winner for the prize, that prize will not be awarded.
My City Magazine has no responsibility for lost, late or misdirected entries. All contest entrants agree to release My City Magazine, its owners and employees, and its partners and affiliates from any and all claims and liability with respect to and in any way arising from participating in this contest, accepting of any prize(s), or technical, hardware, software or other failures of any kind.
Copying or unauthorized use of any copyrighted materials, trademarks or any other intellectual property without the express written consent of its owner is strictly prohibited.
All entrants agree to comply fully with each provision in these Official Rules. Any person attempting to defraud or in any way tamper with this contest or any person who does not comply with these Official Rules, will be ineligible for any prize.
By submitting an entry, the winners agree to allow use of his or her name, and/or photograph for promoting this contest without compensation, unless prohibited by law.
Taxes are the sole responsibility of winner.

Except as otherwise required by applicable law, My City Magazine and its respective affiliates, employees, legal representatives, assigns and licensees, are not responsible for any loss or damage associated with an individual’s entry into this contest, the independent judging of the contest or the provision or otherwise of any aspect of any prize or any act or omission of any other person or party, and all warranties, conditions and representations (of any kind) not expressly set out in the Official Rules are hereby excluded.
This contest is not intended for gambling. If it is determined that a contestant is using the contest for gambling purposes they will be disqualified and reported to authorities.
My City Magazine reserves the right to change the rules at any time.

ARBITRATION & CHOICE OF LAW: Except where prohibited by law, as a condition of participating in this Contest, Contestant agrees that (1) any and all disputes and causes of action arising out of or connected with this Contest, or any prizes awarded, shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action lawsuit, and exclusively by final and binding arbitration under the rules of the American Arbitration Association and held at the AAA regional office nearest the contestant; (2) the Federal Arbitration Act shall govern the interpretation, enforcement and all proceedings at such arbitration; and (3) judgment upon such arbitration award may be entered in any court having jurisdiction. Under no circumstances will contestant be permitted to obtain awards for, and contestant hereby waives all rights to claim, punitive, incidental or consequential damages, or any other damages, including attorneys’ fees, other than contestant’s actual out-of-pocket expenses (i.e., costs associated with entering this Contest), and contestant (or, if an eligible minor, his/her parent or legal guardian) further waives all rights to have damages multiplied or increased. All issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation and enforceability of these Official Rules, or the rights and obligations of contestants and Sponsor in connection with this Contest, shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with, the substantive laws of the State of Michigan, USA without regard to Michigan choice of law rules.
