On June 28, Hamilton Community Health Network (HCHN) saluted the 2018 Family Medicine Residency class and Dental Residency graduating classes with a graduation and ceremony at Brick Street Bar and Grille in Grand Blanc.

Five students have completed the program. Graduating from the Family Medicine division are Dr. David Maldonado, DO and Dr. Muhammad Alghanem, DO. Dr. Rabia Memon, DMD, Dr. Naser Khan, DMD and Dr. Anya Harris, DDS are all graduating from the Dental Residency division.

Out of 32 community health centers in Michigan, HCHN is one of two teaching health centers. Hamilton’s program started in July of 2014. The three-year post-doctoral residency-training program is supported through collaboration with a grant from Michigan State University’s College of Osteopathic Health Centers Graduate Medical Education.

HCHN has also been a clinic site for NYU Lutheran Medical Center’s Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) residency program since 2011.

“We had a 100 percent pass rate with the National Dental Boards NERB, which is an indicator of the success of our program,” explains Dr. Miriam Parker, Director of Dental Services.

Hamilton Community Health Network is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing comprehensive, quality, community-oriented health care for the underserved throughout Genesee County. The organization is part of a national network of primary care centers (Section 330E) aimed at improving health services for inner city populations, regardless of a patient’s ability to pay.
