This Saturday, February 22, the Genesee County Historical Society will present “From Mexico to Michigan” at the Eastern Food Bank of Michigan from 10:30am to 12:30pm. This is a free event but attendees absolutely MUST RSVP as seating and resources are limited. In this unique program food and history are combined to tell a story. Follow one family’s journey from Mexico to Genesee County and all the struggles and triumphs therein. Learn about the Mexican culture and how Genesee County accepts those looking for a new way of life. A cooking demonstration will also take place, teaching attendees the art of making authentic enchiladas.
