NFL Star Brandon Carr Charity Comedy Show – Capitol Theatre 8-11pm

Flint’s own Brandon Carr of the Baltimore Ravens and his non-profit, Carr Cares Foundation, will be hosting this charity comedy show. Proceeds will benefit children of Flint. The show will feature DC Young Fly, Karlous Miller, and Chico Bean, comedians from MTV & Nick Cannon’s “Wild’N Out” sketch comedy series.

Clio Cast and Crew presents: Avenue Q

A recent college graduate, Princeton, equipped only with hope and a Bachelor’s Degree in English, is looking for two things: life’s purpose and an affordable apartment in New York City. On Avenue Q, he finds a building with a sign advertising “Apartment for Rent.” He soon meets a motley but friendly assortment of neighbors. Princeton rents the apartment and is welcomed to the neighborhood and the stirrings of romance between him and another. This show is for mature audiences only.

Greater Flint Arts Council: A Bunch of Books Self-Publishing Workshop
& Book Fair 12-3pm

A Bunch of Books will offer aspiring authors and authors self-publishing tips that will lend the confidence needed to successfully publish and launch your book. Authors, self-publishing consultants and an editorial guru will present information to help you get on your way to publishing your next best seller! Attendees will receive materials and info that will help you write your story and navigate you through the self-publishing process.

This program features characters from the Rockville Library – Tommy (the new kid in town); Mr. Rock (the Librarian) and DJ Dustcover and Lady Goo Goo. Brandon Carr Dreamchasers Celebrity Charity Bowling Event 6-10pm

Flint’s own Brandon Carr of the Baltimore Ravens has partnered with Dreamchasers Inc. to host a celebrity bowling charity event. NFL players and celebrities will bowl to raise proceeds for Dreamchasers Inc.’s Summer Mentorship Workshop. All proceeds will benefit young adults from Flint and South Africa pursuing opportunities in the fields of Arts and Entertainment.
