Partake in delicious foods, tasty beverages, live music and the works of various artists on display throughout a variety of Downtown Flint art galleries and businesses, including The Local Grocer, which hosts an evening of social crafting with Flint Handmade, along with a display of framed prints and handmade goods from local artists. Stop by the Greater Flint Arts Council, 601 S. Saginaw St. for this month’s walking map, while supplies last. 6-9pm.

Detroit Redwings Darren McCarty Comedy Night on the Ice

Sinclair Entertainment presents Comedy Night on the Ice with four-time Stanley Cup Champion Darren McCarty and friends. There will be a meet and greet after the event. Must be 18 years or older to attend. Drinks will be served for 21-plus. Doors open at 7:30 pm. Show 8-10pm. General Admission: $20.

Christmas at Crossroads — Holiday Magic

Visit Crossroads Village where thousands of lights sparkle like tiny stars throughout the village with live entertainment, model trains, holiday music, costumed villagers making vintage crafts, shops full of great holiday gifts and Santa bringing smiles to faces of all ages. Ride the Huckleberry Railroad for a festive night-time ride. It is recommended that Huckleberry Railroad Train tickets be purchased in advance, as the train often sells out. Open 4-9pm.

Flint Repertory Theatre presents: The Little Prince

All grown-ups were once children… but only few of them remember it. In the middle of the Sahara Desert, a stranded aviator meets the Little Prince, who hails from a small, faraway asteroid. Their dreamlike journey unfolds across a universe sparking our imaginations along the way. There will be an opening night reception following Friday’s performance. Friday 7-9pm, and Saturday 2-4pm and 7-9pm, Sunday 2-4pm.

UM-Flint Open Ice Skate

Have some family fun skating at the UM-Flint Ice Skating rink. Friday 5-8pm, Saturday and Sunday 12-4pm. Admission is free. Skate Rental $3 or bring you own skates. No hockey sticks/pucks or any other equipment or play items allowed during open skate. Rink may be cleared periodically for ice resurfacing. Rink will close for inclement weather or poor ice conditions.

As an Ivy League dropout and community college graduate from Pontiac, Mike Geeter brings a pointed look at life, family and relationships that few others can — or should. A portion of all ticket sales will go toward fireworks for the Festival of Flags event.
