This annual, community-based team event is one of more than 2,500 held around the country to support and celebrate survivors and caregivers. An Opening Ceremony honors the event organizers and those affected by cancer, followed by a 12-hour Survivor/Caregiver Walk cheered on by participants, a beautiful Luminaria Ceremony and Closing Ceremony. This year, 19 teams registered, including top fundraisers Purple People, Nana’s and Papa’s, and Hope Keepers. Forty-two cancer survivors attended. Fundraising continues through 8.31.2019.
