What are the holidays without plenty of lights, plenty of cheer and some good shopping for gifts and stocking stuffers? Enjoy one of mid-Michigan’s favorite holiday traditions, complete with costumed villagers, live entertainment, model trains, craft demonstrations and visits with Santa, himself. It’s holiday fun for the whole family!

FCC Holiday Walk 2018

Immerse yourself in holiday cheer at this community event on the beautifully decorated, 33-acre Flint Cultural Center Campus. Enjoy caroling and festive live music, a visit with Santa Claus, Planetarium samplers, fun holiday theatre performances, hands-on arts & crafts, refreshments and more! This is a FREE community event – if you can, please bring non-perishable food or personal care items to be donated to the Food Bank of Eastern Michigan.

Flushing Candlewalk

This tradition began over 30 years ago – thousands of softly glowing candles lighting the way along the streets of Flushing. It’s a sight not to be missed! Two evenings of holiday music provided by local singers, choirs, ice sculptures, wood carvings, live performances, Lionel train display, s’mores, refreshments, and horse-drawn wagon rides are the business owners’ way of saying thank-you to the community. You’ll find chestnuts roasting on an open fire in the middle of Main Street and warming stations throughout the area. The Candlewalk kicks off with a Parade of Lights that brings Santa into town to receive the key to the city, and then the official Christmas Tree is lit. After he arrives, Santa will sit in Goggins Hall visiting with kids of all ages.

On Friday, the Downtown Davison Christmas Parade rings in the start of the Christmas Season! Christmas-themed parade entries will glow with lights. Parade begins on Mill Street, runs north on Main Street, ending at Fourth Street. Businesses will be open, there will be warming stations at Main and Second, Christmas Carolers performing through the evening, and a special spot for the man of the hour – Santa! On Saturday, special events continue with hayrides, children’s activities, businesses open for seasonal shopping and, of course, Santa!
