Legends of the Saginaw Sail

Learn the fascinating history of the Saginaw River as the Appledore sails from Downtown Bay City to the Saginaw Bay. Once out on the open water, help the crew set the sails or relax and enjoy the view. A light lunch of a sub sandwich, chips, cookie and soda/water is served onboard.

Great Lakes Loons Game – Fireworks Loontacular @ Dow Diamond

Loons vs Dayton Dragons. Post-Game Concert by The Gasoline Gypsies Presented by Midland Center for the Arts Game. Stay after the game for Extra Innings, featuring live music at field level and yard games and drinks on the field. Stay after the game for a spectacular Fireworks show!

2019 Michigan Chicken Wing Festival

The Michigan Chicken Wing Festival is an annual event held Labor Day Weekend in Downtown Lansing. It’s a staycation for those who do not want to travel on the holiday weekend and those wishing to explore Lansing. The festival consists of two days of fun for all. Saturday and Sunday will be filled with activities for the entire family: live music — Country, Blues, Pop, Rock and R&B, Vendors, Kids Zone and Adult Zone filled with Interactive & Carnival Games and Inflatables. Wing Tasting Contest on Saturday and Sunday; with winner announced on Sunday. Wing Eating Contest on Saturday. VIP Beer & Wine Tent open Saturday and Sunday. Sunday, the park will be opening at regular time, with a scheduled concert later that afternoon. Enjoy Helicopter Rides, Pro Wrestling, and testing your skills at the Cornhole Tournament.

 

Muskegon Polish Festival

The two-day, family-friendly Muskegon Polish Festival will offer Polish cultural activities including food, polka music, dancing, cultural activities, kids’ activities, and much more. People of all ethnicities are invited for an authentic Polish experience and a unique venue in the heart of Muskegon. A large, custom-made, wooden dance floor will make for a great time dancing the polka and provides stellar entertainment for all festival attendees.

 

Novi

Michigan State Fair

Over Labor Day Weekend, the Michigan State Fair features the famous agriculture, tourism and products of the great state of Michigan in the clean, modern environs of the Suburban Collection Showplace in Novi. The Detroit Shrine Circus returns with an expanded show and three tents! Fairgoers will also enjoy an expanded midway, agricultural and livestock exhibits, live entertainment and all those favorite tasty carnival treats!
