Shiny chrome, black leather and the roar of thundering engines were the sights and sounds in Downtown Flint on September 14.

Motorcycle enthusiasts from all over the state and beyond swarmed S. Saginaw Street for the seventh annual Bikes on the Bricks. The three-day event was presented by Vehicle City Harley-Davidson. Thousands of bikes roared into town and lined up for display on the bricks. Vendors sold T-shirts, biker apparel and jewelry, as well as food and drinks. Events included a police escorted 40-mile ride, Globe of Death stunt-bike shows, police officer training, and a police skills competition, called Last Man Standing.
