An Artist Honored

Flint artist Anni Crouter, who was featured in our November issue, has recently realized her dream of becoming a member of the American Watercolor Society. The gravity of the AWS honor was noted in the November article entitled “An Artist Aloft” in these words: “[to]be a member of the AWS is to be accepted into the privy council of watercolor painters; an immortal in the academy of artists.”

Crouter says of her accomplishment, “I am honored to be accepted as a signature member of the American Watercolor Society. This is one of our country’s oldest art societies: it started in 1866 in New York City and remains there today, holding its exhibitions in the beautiful Salmagundi Club.”

On these pages are photos of the work that Crouter submitted for entry into the Society. We at My City Magazine would like to congratulate Anni on this prestigious achievement.

Well done, Anni Crouter, AWS!
