Sat. Oct. 28: Friends of Berston A Night at the Savoy Gala

Friends of Berston, the non-profit created to provide stewardship of the historic Berston Field House and its programming, is planning its inaugural fundraiser. The gala’s purpose is to raise much needed funding for the continuation of Berston Field House programs. Friends of Berston are asking people to partner with other champions of the Flint community to continue the legacy of this institution for the current generation of aspiring athletes, artists and dancers. Berston Field House has figured significantly in the lives of outstanding Flint athletes, including Clarissa Shields and basketball greats such as Trent Tucker, Antonio Smith and the Michigan State Flint Stones—Charlie Bell, Mateen Cleaves, and Morris Peterson. Friends of Berston hope you will join them as well as invest in one of the City of Flint’s crown jewels, from 8-100pm. Sponsor’s Reception 6pm.
