The New McCree Theatre presents: Sparkle Too

Enjoy the story of one young lady who was determined to make it in the music industry, despite an unseemly number of obstacles placed along her path. This story is replete with original musical compositions by Charles H. Winfrey and other local songwriters. Friday 7-9pm. Saturday 2-4pm and 7-9pm.

Flint’s new USL League Two, the Flint City Bucks, will play against the Cincinnati Dutch Lions. The Flint City Bucks is part of the USL League Two Pre-Professional Soccer in the U.S. and Canada and provides the elite platform for those pursuing professional soccer careers domestically and internationally. 7-9pm.

Crossroads Village & Huckleberry Railroad: Honoring American Veterans

Travel back to a time when things were a whole lot simpler. Crossroads Village is a Great Lakes town from the turn of the century with 34 historic structures and a thriving community. Enjoy a 40-minute journey on an authentic Baldwin Steam locomotive, the Huckleberry Railroad, take a scenic ride on the Genesee Belle, a replica of the paddlewheel riverboats that were popular during Mark Twain’s time, catch a show at the Colwell Opera House or learn a trade from one of the village’s craftspeople. This weekend, Veterans and Active Duty Military Personnel, along with one guest, will receive free admission to the village. Guests can make a card to go to a local Vet at VA Hospital and/or honor a vet by completing a square for a vet they want to honor to go into the 2020 Remembrance Quilt. It is recommended that Huckleberry Railroad train tickets be purchased in advance as the train often sells out.

This Memorial Day 5K Run/Walk in Burton is held annually to commemorate the men and women who died while in military service, to support the community through charitable giving and to promote a healthy lifestyle in the City of Burton. 8:30am-1pm.

Linden Music by The Mill

Enjoy Music by The Mill in beautiful downtown Linden. In celebration of Memorial Day, Billy Mack & The Juke Joint Johnnies will perform some vintage Rock & Roll. This free summer concert series is sponsored by the City of Linden and the Linden DDA. Rain location will be at the Linden VFW Hall located at 105 Mill St., Linden. 10:45am-12pm.
