The Ascension Genesys Foundation invites families and friends to honor the memory of departed loved ones and to celebrate those closest to us during the holiday season. The Tree of Love, a 30-foot tower of 700 live poinsettias, symbolizes strength, courage and memories of loved ones. The majestic poinsettia plant reminds us to never overlook the magic in life.
The annual Tree of Love campaign is a way to give thanks to the special people in your life, living or deceased, by dedicating a holiday light, poinsettia or illuminated tree in their honor.
There are three ways to participate in the Tree of Love Campaign.
Remember a Loved One – Sponsor a Light
A $25 donation illuminates a light on a large blue spruce near the main hospital entrance.
Celebrate Life – Sponsor a Poinsettia
A $40 donation sponsors one of the 700 poinsettias on the indoor Tree of Love. Your sponsored poinsettia will be given to a discharged patient.
Tribute Tree – Sponsor a Tree at Genesys
A $300 donation illuminates a tree outside the hospital. A sign will be placed in front of the tree and notification of your gift will be sent to the address of your choice.
Proceeds from the Tree of Love campaign support Ascension Genesys uninsured and underinsured cancer patients in need of financial assistance for critical medications, medical equipment, transportation for medical appointments and basic life necessities.
The trees, poinsettias and lights are beacons for what Ascension Genesys Hospital stands for – providing support to patients and their families during a time of great need.
