Today is the 20th annual “Lights On Afterschool” national rally. Lights On Afterschool is focused on drawing awareness to the importance of afterschool programs in local communities. Taking part in the national rally locally, YouthQuest is hosting 11 community events from tonight (Oct. 24) through Oct. 31.

YouthQuest offers high-quality activities and services focused on academic support, cultural enrichment, physical fitness, nutrition education and leadership skills. It is the premier afterschool program for expanded learning of the Flint Community Education Initiative – a community-wide strategy to establish schools as neighborhood hubs to support student success and create vibrant communities.
