Upset stomach, twisted ankle or pain that needs urgent attention? Hurley Medical Center is making it more convenient for patients to get top notch care, quickly and conveniently at locations throughout Mid-Michigan.

On March 16, a ribbon-cutting ceremony was held at the new Shiawassee County facility. Located at 8759 Monroe Road, it marks the fourth urgent care to open in the Hurley system.

During the ceremony, the Seven Seals Award was presented to Hurley Medical Center, acknowledging the training it provides for Special Operations Forces, and the support they give to the Hurley Veterans and Guard and Reserve employees. The Seven Seals Award is presented in recognition of significant individual or organizational achievement, initiative, or support that promotes the ESGR mission, to include the efforts of the more than 4,500 volunteers who carry out ESGR’s mission across the nation on a daily basis.

The Durand facility will give Shiawassee County residents access to medical help seven days a week, with shorter wait times, on-site x-rays and labs. Patients are already seeing doctors in Flint, Grand Blanc and Lapeer.
